Totally Tie-Dye

This past weekend, I went to my mom & step-dad's house for a tie-dye party. My step-dad, Duane, wants to get a picture of our whole family in our tie-dye shirts. I am very stoked about this. I LOVE tie-dye. Since I wish that I lived in the 60's, I have tie-dye mania. So, I was there (minus the kids & Nate~he stayed home with them since they are sick..and if you know Nate, tie-dye is something that is soooo not a part of his wardrobe...I plan on posting the family pics so his "metal" fans can see this guitarist in tie-dye :), and my sis & her clan, my bro & sister-in-law, my 2 step-brothers & their families were all there.

Just so you know, we have 3 sets of twins (counting my Elijah & Olivia) & my triplets in the family. So out of the 10 living grandchildren my parents have, 3 of them are singletons (oh & one on the way..Lee & Amber's).

It was a beautiful day & we all set up shop out in the backyard. We had 2 long tables to work on, aprons for everyone (courtesy of Jack's Donuts :), rubber gloves, rubber bands, tons of shirts & lots of cool colors. Duane gave us the run-down on how to do it. I ended up making 9 shirts! I didn't want to stop, but the rawness of my thumb couldn't go on much longer. I think Amber & I stayed out there an hour after everyone was done. Tie-dye's in our blood man, what can we say!

It was a great time & I'm glad I have such a wonderful family to be able to do these things with. Thanks mom & Duane..for the food, shirts & everything else.

Peace & Love to everyone!
