Rockin' Rummage

We spent most of this week out at Andy & Joanna's house. Every year around Memorial Day, they have a bunch of rummage sales & Joanna & I participate. We had a blast. The sale went from Wednesday to today. We went everyday, but today & I think the kids had a great time also. Let's see, here are some high lights:

~Jasper beat the crap out of Carter everyday. Poor Carter got to where if Jasper even came his way, he'd put his arms out like, "Stay away from me, you creep!"

~Isabel fell off the steps & got a nasty scrape down her face.

~Jasper took off running in to the road & almost to the highway...TWICE!

~We found Isabel, Carter & Jasper hiding out by the sofa stuffing gum in to their mouth's.

~Joanna sold a butt load of stuff & made out like a bandit!

~Jonah had a great time playing in a bathroom sink that Nancy was selling.

~I bought Joanna two packs of cigarettes when I went to get food. She had to write down on a piece of paper what I needed to say. I thought for sure someone my mom knows would see me & tell her I was buying cigarettes. But, I haven't heard anything. Joanna, I shouldn't be contributing to your habit! :)

~We ate sooooooo bad. I mean, so bad! But, it was sooooo good!

Memorial Day 2009

I'm finally posting pictures from Memorial Day. We went to Ashley's & grilled out. She's always a good hostess. We had a good time, even though it started raining. I took the kids home while Nate played in the Euchre tournament. He didn't win. Darn that grandpa Brown!

Ashley & Kisen

Chelsea....so cute. This is Ashley's best friend's little girl. Jen & Randy are her mama & daddy.
Isabel and Delaney...another cutie! This is Aaron's cousin's little girl.

She's getting brave. This is the first year she has attempted to walk up the ladder to the slide. And she actually did it!
Isabel & Pa. She had to sit on his lap because I think she was a little jealous that he was holding Kisen.
Jasper and Isabel running off. They are becoming infamous for doing this & it is making me CRAZY! I've had to scream like a red-neck.
Jasper and Nate

Jonah
Ashley's best friend, Jen, and her hubby, Randy. They are getting ready to have their 2nd baby girl any day now!

Scarred by Match.com

You've read stories about my dad on here before. He's a pretty cool guy. However, he seems to find the nicest girlfriends and then they turn out to be psycho, scrotey, carni-kids, etc....except for the last girlfriend. She was none of those. They just had some issues & moved their separate ways. I always seem to fall in love with them. They treat me so nice & I have to admit, I think I'm a pretty like able character. I automatically assume people are wonderful, caring, peaceful, etc. I guess I wear what you would call, "Rose Colored Glasses." Well, after his choices, I think he has decided to let me help him out (which may not be the right thing, because as I stated above, I fall in love with these women). Dad? Maybe you should ask Ash. You know she would be brutally honest with you. :) I love my family & the fact that we can make light of things & how our different personalities just mesh!

On to my story. He came by on his dinner break a couple of nights ago. He works about a minute down the road from me. He had a lady he wanted me to check out. From her profile & pictures, she seemed cute & responsible. Remember though, this is the internet. I could seem like I weigh 113 pounds, have triplets that are very well behaved & their nannies & teachers just roar about them. As he was showing me some other matches or some women who have "winked" at him, we came across....BARBIE. That wasn't her real name, but I re-named her. She didn't look real. The makeup on this lady was....well, I don't know how to describe it...I guess the term "Heavy Handed" comes to mind.

Isabel saw the pic of that lady & immediately put her hands over her ears, starting rocking back and forth & crying. That poor lady scared the crap out of my baby. And trust me, my kiddos are use to makeup. This has left me fearing that Isabel is scarred & will not ever let me doll her up. She & dad went out in the living room to sit on the couch. The entire time, she kept saying, "Makeup gone, Pa? Makeup gone, Pa." Then she'd cry some more. It was finally time to go to bed. I'm not sure if she had nightmares. Judging by yesterday, it seems as though she hasn't forgotten Barbie. She said, "Mama? Did makeup go bye bye. It's not scary, no, makeup is not scary." She then talked on the phone to my dad & said, "Pa? Makeup go bye-bye?"

I thought I wore a lot of makeup, but clearly, Barbie has me beat. And I forbid my dad from contacting her. I can see it now...her coming to my house & Isabel flipping out. Talk about making a person feel good.

Fun at mamaw Mary's

My battery died on my new camera. That thing lasted through a ton of pictures. So of course, I forgot to charge the battery before we left. I did get some pics before it bit the dust, but I had to use my measly camera phone to take pics of the kids in the creek.

After a while of walking on rocks, I decided to put my flip flops back on.

Craw fish in Nate's hand

Nate's parents brought down cakes for my birthday. Yep...I had a few pieces & it was good!

And eating cake

Jonah playing with the door...again, what's new? :) I think that boy had about 3 hours worth of going in & out doors this weekend. Seriously.
