It takes around 6 hours or a little less to get to Byrdstown. The kids did pretty good. They only start melting down towards the last hour or so. Along the way, it is tradition to stop in Kentucky & get a moon pie for me & Combo's for Nate. Well, Nate surprised me with some candy cigarettes! Folks..these are the real deal! They are still in a package like the old days...where it looks like a pack of cigs. Trust me...I don't think Cigs are cool. But I do think I looked pretty darn cool with my candy one!
My feet on the dash. Nothing says "Hillbilly" like your bare feet on the dash. I think Nate has finally gotten use to this. At first, it kinda bothered him.

Okay, now this funny. Before we went to our cabin, we had to stop at the B&K to get a few groceries. Look at my kids! They look pitiful. They are barefoot, with sweats on & obviously stinky from a long van ride. What I love about Tennessee??? No one cared that my kids looked like this.
