I've got to get my butt in gear & move Iz into her own room. The non-stop partying at nap time has really worn out its welcome...and I mean, REALLY. My problem? Well, my house is a disaster! I have so much junk I need to get rid of. I have piles of clothes that the kids can't wear anymore that I've been trying to sell. I need to say, "screw it" & pack it all in the ol' mini-van & take it to Goodwill.
But I have to tell you; when the kids go down for their "nap", I usually get on this computer & check out all my daily sites. Or if I do get lucky (and they sleep), I like to nap on the couch cause I'm worn out.
I don't think they realize I can hear them jumping on their stinkin beds! Their springs are worn out, so it sounds like a movie where two people get together in a hotel room that has a squeaky bed, and.......well, you get the picture. Deep breath, Shannon; deep breath.
Edited to add: So as I was typing this, all I kept hearing was, "jump, jump...squeak, squeak, laugh, laugh". I went to their bedroom door & pounded on it with my fist. All you could hear was their final jump & it got quiet. Wish I had a camera in there. I could hear their heart beats outside the door. Then I said in my scariest, manliest voice..."Lay Down!" It didn't work cause they are at it again. I can feel my blood pressure rising.
