Ooooh that smell...can't ya smell that smell?

Last week I was sitting here, in the computer/studio/junk/work room. I kept hearing a scratching & rustling sound. I shake the filing cabinet back & forth to make sure nothing is in here. I kept thinking, "oh my gosh, we have some sort of animal in here because of all this junk we need to clean out." I started wondering if this creature was in between the walls. I went to bed & told Nate I heard some sounds. He said he did too & he thought there was a mouse or something in the walls.

Fast forward to yesterday. I'm sitting here on the Internet & I smell a foul smell. This is going to be completely disgusting, so I apologize in advance. It's the only way I know how to describe it. It's like 10 old pads...yes, menstruation pads (at least I used to real term) that have been sitting for days. I'm getting nauseous thinking about it.

Let me tell you how I found out the smell of a dead mouse. I used to work at a factory. Our office was basically a part of this factory. We often had mice that came in from the outside. One day I was sitting at my desk when I noticed a foul smell. And it smelled like it was coming from below where I sat. I became self conscious...thinking, "hmmm, I know I showered, but it sure smells nasty." ETA: Please Note: I do not smell like a dead mouse. Nate just came home & said, "oh great, my co-workers that read this are going to think you smell like a dead mouse." Men! He can't just get that I'm trying to be funny. Anyway, a few days go by & this smell is just crazy. I finally look at my friend & co-worker, Jo, and say, "Jo..can you smell that?" I have her bend down low to smell it & sure enough she did. Another co-worker comes over & says, "that is the smell of a dead mouse." Eeeekkk! We followed our nose & found that a dead mouse was under mine & Jo's filing cabinet.

The moral of my story??? There's a dead mouse in between my walls & no-one I know can get in between the walls of a house. Therefore, I'm going to have to sit here for a few more days, smelling it & waiting for it to just become a carcass.
