Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving at my in-laws again this year. It is kind of like a mini vacation. We stayed up a couple of nights & watched movies after the kids went down. They are pretty great about letting Nate & I get things done. We did some Christmas shopping & ate. In fact, I'm pretty sure they prefer when Nate & I leave. That way they can have Grandma & Grandpa time with the kids...AKA, Spoiling.

This is the kids' great-grandpa, Joe. They really like him.

Jonah stood by the banana bread I made & would just pick up a piece, take a bite, put it back down. See the pics below.

A picture I took of Rachel & the baby in her belly.
The lit house...before the squirrels ate a strand of the lights. I know Mark appreciates that.

So sweet! I have to comment on a few photos though.
1) What is on that picnic table? I can't figure it out and believe me, I've studied it for a looong time - ha ha
2) Great Grandparents?? Good gracious they look fantastic and so young!
3) I laughed at the banana bread picture. That is hysterical! ha ha

Okay, Deb...here's the answers

1. I have no clue what is on that picnic table :) Nate took that pic. I think it is corn or something for squirrels in which I think his dad is kicking himself for now, seeing as the squirrels ate half his lights. :)

2. Yea, I know...those great grandparents look awesome! I had to think about it before I wrote that on the pics because I thought..."wow! They really are their great grandparents!"

3. We laughed & laughed at that banana bread.
