You've read stories about my dad on here before. He's a pretty cool guy. However, he seems to find the nicest girlfriends and then they turn out to be psycho, scrotey, carni-kids, etc....except for the last girlfriend. She was none of those. They just had some issues & moved their separate ways. I always seem to fall in love with them. They treat me so nice & I have to admit, I think I'm a pretty like able character. I automatically assume people are wonderful, caring, peaceful, etc. I guess I wear what you would call, "Rose Colored Glasses." Well, after his choices, I think he has decided to let me help him out (which may not be the right thing, because as I stated above, I fall in love with these women). Dad? Maybe you should ask Ash. You know she would be brutally honest with you. :) I love my family & the fact that we can make light of things & how our different personalities just mesh!
On to my story. He came by on his dinner break a couple of nights ago. He works about a minute down the road from me. He had a lady he wanted me to check out. From her profile & pictures, she seemed cute & responsible. Remember though, this is the internet. I could seem like I weigh 113 pounds, have triplets that are very well behaved & their nannies & teachers just roar about them. As he was showing me some other matches or some women who have "winked" at him, we came across....BARBIE. That wasn't her real name, but I re-named her. She didn't look real. The makeup on this lady was....well, I don't know how to describe it...I guess the term "Heavy Handed" comes to mind.
Isabel saw the pic of that lady & immediately put her hands over her ears, starting rocking back and forth & crying. That poor lady scared the crap out of my baby. And trust me, my kiddos are use to makeup. This has left me fearing that Isabel is scarred & will not ever let me doll her up. She & dad went out in the living room to sit on the couch. The entire time, she kept saying, "Makeup gone, Pa? Makeup gone, Pa." Then she'd cry some more. It was finally time to go to bed. I'm not sure if she had nightmares. Judging by yesterday, it seems as though she hasn't forgotten Barbie. She said, "Mama? Did makeup go bye bye. It's not scary, no, makeup is not scary." She then talked on the phone to my dad & said, "Pa? Makeup go bye-bye?"
I thought I wore a lot of makeup, but clearly, Barbie has me beat. And I forbid my dad from contacting her. I can see it now...her coming to my house & Isabel flipping out. Talk about making a person feel good.
