Voting & Ignorant People

Well, did you vote today? If not, are you planning on it? Get your butts out there & do it!

My mom campaigned for Obama. She worked many hours calling people & going door to door. A couple nights ago, she was telling me how she was out campaigning. I said, "do you ever get mean people?" She said, "yea, you get a few." Then she goes on to tell me that her friend went up to a house & the guy answered & yelled, "I wouldn't vote for that "racial slur" if it was the last thing I did." Are you kidding me? This is the kind of ignorance that we live with in this country. While the man yelled this, their were children around. Those kids have little hope if they have parents like that.

This is why we can't have a peaceful nation. Because people like that are our future. That's nice to know, huh? It scares me to death that my kids will be going to school, maybe even become friends with the children whose parents are racist idiots. I'm definitely not a perfect parent...by any means, but I sure hope to hell that I teach my kids tolerance, acceptance, love & peace. We are all creatures of God. We are all created equal. Every kind of ethnicity has it share of good & bad people.

Another person they encountered on their campaign said, "We don't want your kind around here." The lady responded, "What do you mean, my kind? American?" So because of Obama's skin color & name, he is Un-American & those who vote for him are also Un-American? It's just a sad, sad shame.

Remember the church song..."Jesus Loves The Little Children?" If not, let me remind you of it:

Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red & Yellow, Black & White
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
