Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you all had a great day and ate lots & lots of good food. We went to the in-laws for Thanksgiving. I wish I would have taken pictures, because my mother-in-law's Thanksgiving set-up is Amazing! She is an interior designer & you can definitely tell. Her set-up looks like something out of Better Homes And Gardens. Seriously, it's nice. She gets out her Silver & china & all that good stuff. I said, "Well, my kids won't be fighting over my heirloom quality pieces, they will be getting Big Lots junk." I own Zero pieces of China and Zero pieces of Silver. I'm what you would call, Cheap. But, I at least try to get cute cheap things. Speaking of, I had a really cute necklace on today and as we were sitting on the couch tonight, Nate says, "Your neck is green." Then Wanda (MIL) says, "Yea, it's like green green." You got it...it's from the necklace. My green finger from my flea market ring matched my green neck.

Enough about my cheapness...the food we ate was glorious. I ate turkey, probably 5 rolls, mac & cheese, dip, cheese ball, salad, desert, etc. etc. etc. Man, I'm actually getting hungry again just thinking about it. Our trip couldn't be complete without a trip to the doctor. Seems like every time we come up here, someone gets sick. Nate had an anxiety attack a while back when we were here. You wanna talk about some outrageous bills! So today I ended up taking Jonah to the Emergency Med. Center. He has tubes in his ears & I noticed he had nasty goop coming out of one of his ears. I didn't want to take chances. So, we went. Turns out he has an infection & had puss coming out & the other ear is starting to do the same thing. He also has a sinus infection. Ugh. The good thing is that we didn't have to wait for 3 hours in the waiting room...only about 10 minutes! I've got him an antibiotic & hopefully he will start to get better. Poor thing.

We had a nice day...food, family & Guitar Hero! I actually made it thru a song on Medium. YESSSSS!

I am so thankful for my beautiful, funny, intelligent children and for my wonderful family...all of them. I'm so thankful that God chose me to be the mama of these 3 babies. I'm thankful for all the love that surrounds me & for being able to stay home & take care of my kids (thanks Nate :) I'm thankful for having a roof over my head & food to eat. I'm thankful for people who are serving this Country and who have stayed somewhere they shouldn't have to be. I am blessed. I know I am. There are so many unfortunate people in this world & I'm thankful I have a loving, caring family.
