As the kids get older, the things that come out of their mouths are funnier. Isabel has a language of her own. Half the time we don't know what she's saying. Or she uses words that don't make sense with what she's saying. For instance, she uses the word "serious" all the time. But, it makes no sense the way she uses it. She will say, "I can't clean my room because I'm serious" or "Mama, that makes me so serious!" Apparently I use the word "serious" a lot.

Jasper has a bad habit of giving me the play by play of every event in a TV show or movie he is watching. He can never just sit and watch something. He gets up every couple of minutes & says, "Mama...Thomas just rolled his eyes like this (imitating it)."

After about a month of sickness that has been going around our house, I'm hoping we are on the upswing. Please, God, let us be on the upswing. The kids (particularly Jasper) has a complete meltdown if someone doesn't give him a kiss and hug before they leave. And when I say meltdown, I mean it. One morning last week, Nate didn't kiss him because he was sick. He told Jasper that he would give him a hug but he couldn't kiss him because he didn't want him to get sick. So when the kids got on the bus that morning, their bus driver said, "Good Morning Jasper" and he said, "Miss Christi...you can't kiss my dad, he's sick." She laughed and laughed & said, "That's the first time I've heard that." I asked her if there was something I didn't know about between her & Nate.

The kids love Nate's beard. Every time Jonah draws something, it seems to have a beard. For instance; he was drawing crosses all over the driveway with chalk & they each had a beard. Huh? So last night, Isabel said, "I'm going to have a beard like mama's." Jasper said, "You can't! Girls don't have beards." She said, "Mama does! She has a little squiggy beard and I want one like hers." I guess I need to start waxing my beard when I do my mustache and eyebrows.
-------------------------------------------------------
They have been watching The Little Mermaid like crazy. I LOVE that movie & it reminds me of high school days. Me, my sister & our cousin Caroline would always watch it. We had the songs down to a T. When Ursula comes on, Jonah always says,"Mama, Ursula's boobies shake!" One day he added that my boobies look like Ursula's. So apparently I'm a large mannish lady with a squiggy beard. It's time to lose weight & heat up my wax!

HAHAHAH I love it. Kids are honest (but thankfully not always accurate).
