Shannon Wright - Executive Director

I've decided to give myself the title: Shannon Wright - Executive Director Of The Wright Trips

You see, I'm the only female in my family who isn't an executive director. I'm giving a shout out to my mom & sister for being some awesome females. There was a write up in our paper this morning about my mom accepting the position she was offered as, "Executive Director for the Henry County Community Foundation." And my sister is "Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters." I feel like a peon compared to these high ranking "know it alls!" I'm kidding. I'm okay with being, "This is Beverly, our new executive director. And these are her children; Ashley, who is executive director for BBBS, Lee; who is owner of Jack's Donuts, and Shannon....the one with the triplets." :)

Here is a snippet from the article written about my mom:

"Foundation board Chairman David McCord said the board received 30 applications for the position. And though five stood out, he said picking Matthews was an easy decision."

My mom retired from Chrysler a couple of years ago & started her own consulting business. She did the media work for the H1N1 clinics & she became writer & editor of a magazine.

As of October 1, she is going to be a full time working woman again. Crap! There goes my chance of having a babysitter. :)
