For some reason, whenever the day with the kids isn't going so well, I always end up singing this. Why is that? It's like, "Sing this song Shan & you won't completely flip out." This morning has been hell with them. It is one of the ugliest days outside & I think it just puts everyone in a crappy mood. They have been fighting constantly this morning. Jonah keeps doing the same thing over & over that I tell him not to do. I put him on the couch to sit for a few minutes & he just smiles & gets up. My house is a freaking mess. So I'm in the front room cleaning & cleaning...picking up toys, blocks, babies, puzzles, etc. I get the sweeper out & run it. I go in to the kitchen to fix lunch & I hear them dump the big ol' tub of blocks back out.
I just realized that the ice I poured for my Diet Pepsi has been sitting on the counter for an hour...with no Diet Pepsi. My sister just called & said she wasn't having a very good morning. I said, "Me either." So now I sit here with my frozen Michaelina's pizza & my Diet Pepsi (finally). They are now in bed (not sleeping) & I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening, America :)

I love that song, too!
I have a similar song go through my head when things are rough... there's a line in it that says "When I don't know what to do, I'll lift my hands, when I don't know what to say, I'll speak your praise"
Funny how many times that song enters my head... ;)
