They walk up to the door & I open it & excitedly say, "Come here, Jasper! Can mama have a kiss?" Jasper turns around & runs. We get inside & Wanda (grandma) has to go back out to the car to get his things. He cries...doesn't want anything to do with me. She takes him out to the car with her. They come back in & he still wants nothing to do with me. I say, "Can mama have a kiss?" He turns around & walks away from me. He only wants Grandma.
So listen up, Grandma & Grandpa! From this day forward, no child will be staying an extra day with you to get pampered, spoiled, loved beyond belief, 100% of your attention, hour long leisurely baths knowing there isn't another kid waiting in the other room for their turn, caramel corn and all the other good stuff you shell out! You got it???
Okay, so I know that isn't going to happen. I guess I can live with that :) Hell, I can't blame the kids. Now I wanna come stay an extra night...is that okay?
