Maybe I should have kept them home

I should have just stayed home with the triplets tonight instead of taking them to church band practice with Nate & I. You see, I'm in the choir & Nate plays guitar. Yes, we are saints. ;) We had to take the trips with us to practice tonight. It lasts about 2 hours. During that 2 hours, they ran wild upstairs where we practice. I get nervous as it is; hoping they don't run out one of the doors & off in to the night. Nate always says, "They are okay, Shan." I tell him, "If they run away, it is on your head."

Tonight, they played in the upstairs nursery. I didn't think much about it...UNTIL, I went to check on them. This picture doesn't do it justice since it was on my crappy phone. Baby powder was everywhere & they were covered. At least it smelled nice. Afterwards, my step-dad was kind enough to help me clean. He swept while I tried to get the powder off the poor baby. We noticed the pack & play was even doused. And I had to clean the new black leather chair the church purchased. I don't think the congregation would have appreciated the white hand prints on Sunday.
So after practice, I had Nate come downstairs to my office to help with a computer problem. I'm the church secretary...like I said, I'm a saint;) While he worked in the office, the crazy beasts ran wild downstairs; playing the piano, flipping the lights off & on, opening & shutting the accordion doors, swinging around the foundation poles, etc. I thought I'd sit where they do Jr. Church & let them recite the Pledge Of Allegiance. Isabel did so & while she walked off, she kept a hold of the flag. Therefore, the pole & everything fell behind her. And, one of the wings off the eagle broke off. Nice. Ha...I just noticed the paper on the chalk board says, "I Learn Respect." We must have missed that week.
I think I'm ready for a little vacation. My best friend, JoAnna, just moved back to Kentucky yesterday & I think a little weekend away sounds nice.

ohhhh my, LOL - Bless you! Honestly though - this sounds like things I go through with mine too. Good gracious, will we survive? Hang in there!
