Some funny moments from the past week

Instead of sharing how bad my kids have been acting this week, I thought I'd share some funny things :)

Last Saturday night, we went to a festival in a very small town where some of my family are from. It is only about 10 minutes or less from us. Anyway, there was a giant bounce house that the kids wanted to play in. It was $2 for a certain amount of minutes. Isabel didn't go in. Jasper did & so did Jonah. However, Jonah came right back out. I wondered why & then I saw what grabbed his attention from the bounce house...a fan! If you know my Jonah well, you know he is obsessed with fans. And when I say "obsessed", I don't mean, "Oh, the kid likes fans." It was very hot & the people who were running the house had a fan pointed on them. I had to stick to Jonah's side to make sure he didn't turn it off since it wasn't our fan. It killed him to not touch it. Jasper finally started to crawl out, as his time was up. As I was paying attention to him, I notice Jonah walked to the back of this bounce house. I knew immediately what was going to happen. I took off to the back & then heard...silence...no humming from the running air. And at that time, the bounce house caved in. Thank God no kids were inside. Jonah had turned off the fan that runs the house. I wanted to crawl in a hole. Luckily, the people were super nice & understanding. And they said, "Well you were right...he really does like fans!"

Yesterday, I dropped the kids off at an art class. It was for 2 hours. My friend, Courtenay, dropped her son, Abe, off as well. The class was for 3-5 year olds. The art park is located next to our local library. So when I got them from their class, we went to the library to return some books & movies. I've since decided that I need someone to go with me. It isn't worth it for me to have to chase down Jonah & constantly say, "Stay right here, kids! Stay here! Hey! Stay here..right next to me!" And no joke, I had sweat rolling down my face. Nice. After we got some kids books, we went upstairs to get a few movies & a book that Nate requested. We took the elevator back down. As soon as the door opened, there were 2 kids waiting to get on. I'm guessing they were brother & sister. They looked to be around 8 to 9 years old. They were chubby kiddos with the big belly's. Jasper says, "Oh hi!" They both say, "Well, hi!" The girl comments about how cute they are. I tell them Thank you & they got on the elevator. Jasper then turns around, points straight at them & says, "Do they got baby's in their belly's?" Eeekkk! As soon as I heard "baby's", I knew what he was going to say. So I laughed...loudly & nervously & said, "Haha! Bye Bye!" hoping & praying they didn't hear him. I'm pretty sure they did.

When Nate got home last night, I was ready to head for the door. Like I said, rough week for me. I stopped at the Red Barn to get some gas & a fountain pop. I pumped the fuel & went in to get my pop & pay. I paid for my pop, got back in the van & drove away. I noticed in my side mirror that the guy from the gas station was chasing me down. I stopped & rolled down my window like, "Why are you chasing me, nut job?" He says, "Didn't you get gas!!?" Oops. Yes, that I did. I turned around, went back inside & paid for the gas. He was nice about it. I apologized and thanked him for not calling the cops on me. Although, a night in jail does sound a bit tempting....
