Southern Hospitality

We took a trip to good ol' Tennessee. We hardly ever get to go in the summer, so we decided to take the kids & meet up with Ash & her crew & mom & Duane. We went on the pontoon & had a nice time.

The sign to "Roughshod Hollow" ~ My uncle Bill started this beautiful place years ago. Now, several people own cabins on the property.

This is a list of mom & Duane's cabin rules. I took this picture because of the bug on it. I've never seen a bug that looks like this. It almost looked like it had flowers on its back. Only in the hollar, folks!

Jasper kept saying he had to pee. He wanted to go off the deck at mom's. Of course, he didn't end up going.

I have to explain the next sequence of pictures. We have booster seats for the kids. I wasn't comfortable driving 6 hours with them in the boosters. We put their old car seats in. They definitely have grown. There was no way they could last in those things. An hour in to the drive, Jonah was just huffing and puffing because he was way too big. With Nate's trusty GPS, we found a Babies R Us & bought 3 new (nicer) booster seats. We waited in the parking lot while Nate took out the old ones & installed the new ones. We must have been by an airport, because we saw lots of planes. That kept the kids sane while Nate got the car seats in.

We stopped and ate at Sonic in Monticello, KY (Joanna's hometown). We've never eaten at one & thought it would be good for the kids to run around outside.
