25 Random Things

I borrowed this idea from another triplet blog that I read (McCarthy Mayhem). I thought, hmm...what a cool idea. So, here are 25 random things about myself. Some of you may know them & some may not. In no particular order:

1. I am deathly afraid of spiders. I can spot the smallest one. There are a few instances that I can clearly remember. My step-dad once chased me around the house with a spider I had him kill. I believe I was in high school. While in Tennessee, there was a spider I spotted in the corner of a room. My friend, Andrea, threw a shoe to kill it for me...only to bust out the window with her shoe. Whoops! When we stay at my mom & step-dad's cabin in Tennessee, I take lightening fast showers because I fear a spider will jump on my face & eat me alive. You gotta know though, this cabin is down in the hollar.

2. I wanted to be Punky Brewster. I loved her & still do.

3. I once wanted to be a break-dancer. I had cardboard pieces laid out on my floor and everything.

4. Breakin 1 & Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo are two of my favorite movies.

5. I ate dog poop when I was little. We lived on Maple Dr. & my sister & our neighbor, Lori Kendall, decided to scoop some up, put in a microwavable bowl & melt it for a few seconds & serve it to me like it was chocolate pudding. I fell for it. I was sitting under the tree & remember it vividly. Ash will deny this until the day she dies.

6. I have a phobia about going barefoot in my home. I can go barefoot outside or somewhere else with no problem. But here at home, you will rarely see me without my flip flops.

7. When it is dark & I am driving, I will probably check 15 times to make sure my lights are on.

8. I have 7 ear piercings, 1 nose piercing and 4 tattoos...AND, I'm the church Secretary. See, God still loves me because of my soul...not because of what I look like on the outside.

9. I was engaged when I was 18 to a guy I dated thru high school. I was 21 when I married Nate.

10. I was considered "Green" when I was young. I like to consider myself "Green" now, but it isn't used the same way like it was back in the day.

11. When I was young, my favorite band was Poison. For a summer school media class, I enlisted my sister and Jenny Belt to star in my lip synching video of "Talk Dirty To Me." I was going to marry C.C. Deville. Then that changed to Donnie Whalberg once New Kids On The Block came out.

12. I thought it would be cool to be a Fashion Designer, then I got a D in Clothing class & my dream was put on hold.

13. I loooovvve doing makeup & hair. I can't wait until Iz is older & I get to primp her all up.

14. I believe in equality. I think everyone should have the same rights. As the great John Lennon once said, "Imagine."

15. I pick the skin on my lips & have ever since I can remember. I mean, I pick it off...bleeding & all!

16. I shave my legs & armpits everyday.

17. I swore I'd never drive a minivan & then I found out I was having triplets.

18. I hardly ever used to curse, and then I had triplets :)

19. Family & friends are the most important thing to me.

20. One of my favorite smells is Downy Fabric Softener. Just ask Nate.

21. Fall is my least favorite season. I really, really don't like it.

22. I have been in one car accident. It totaled out my poor Neon when I was 19 or so.

23. I love the South.

24. I once thought I was going to die while in the ocean. We were at Myrtle Beach with my dad, and I was stuck between slippery rocks & the waves were crashing up on me. A lifeguard had to come get me out.

25. I looovee me some fountain pop from the Red Barn!
