Four Years Ago

My beautiful twins, Olivia Layne & Elijah Cain, entered in to this world at only 21 weeks. Their time on this earth was very short. Fortunately; Nate & I, along with my mom, dad, step-dad & mother & father in-law, were able to hold them & tell them good-bye.

After a week in the hospital & two emergency surgeries on myself, God had another plan for my sweet loves. I will never know what his plan was, but I have to trust that one day I will find out & one day I will see them again. I often times find myself wondering what they would have looked like. Would they look they like their sister & brother's? Would Olivia have the same face shape as Isabel & Grandma? Would Elijah have the same look as Jasper & his uncle Lee? Would he have looked like Pa's side of the family, like his brother Jonah? Would Olivia have the same voice as me & her mamaw? Would she have been the sweet, caring big sister like her aunt Ashley? Would Elijah have the same nose as his dad & grandpa? Would he have had the same curly hair like Jonah & aunt Rachel? Would he have been a baseball player for his papaw?

I will never know the answers to those questions. But I do know that they are missed each & every day. And I know that they have so many people who love them & prayed for them & cried for them. And I know that they would have had so much fun growing up with their sister & brother's. It's hard to believe that it has been 4 years. I still think about them daily & I always will.
