I Survived!

When we went to my in-laws this weekend, we left one kiddo behind...Jonah. And no, it wasn't accidentally. We had discussed earlier in the week about one of them staying an extra night at Grandma & Grandpa's. Jonah was the lucky one. They are two years old now & I know I need to give in a little. I hate separating them. It makes me feel bad. I don't know why because the separated one probably LOVES IT! I mean, they get all the attention & don't have to worry about another kid getting this or that. They don't have to worry about one kid stealing a toy or biting them.

I didn't cry when we left him. I almost did, but I held it back. I knew he was in good hands & would be spoiled beyond belief. I knew he would probably have cookies...lots of them...and stay up way past his usual bedtime. I prepared myself for that. If you know me, you know I'm very scheduled when it comes to my kids. I have three though...not one! If you don't have multiples, than you probably don't understand why parents of multiples are so scheduled. Live a few days in my shoes & I guarantee you will see why. Can I get an AMEN, Ashley?

So Nate calls his mom last night to see how Jonah was doing. He was loving it! For us here at home, it seemed so strange. It seemed quiet & weird. Jasper kept saying, "where's Joah (Jonah)?" Jasper slept like poop last night & that is very unusual for him. I really think it was because he knew something was missing. Jonah, on the other hand, probably slept the best he ever has. He didn't have a screaming sister doing her atomic butt drops on the bed or a brother tearing up the blinds & screaming along with Iz.

As a matter of fact, Grandma informed me that Jonah slept until 10:20 AM...YES, 10:20 AM! What in the heck is that all about? She did tell me he didn't go to bed until 9:30 though. Maybe I should start pushing their bedtime up a bit so they will sleep late. But I can't because I like my few hours to myself before I go to bed.

When Grandma brought Jonah home, you could tell he didn't want to be here. I was waiting for him at the door. He walked right past me...no kiss, no nuthin! But I knew he had a great time & I'm so glad he got to experience that. Now...who's next??
