Forgive Me Lord

It's 10:30 am & we've already had a busy Saturday. This morning, Nate took the boys to a "Mens" pancake breakfast at the church. It was at 8 am. Fortunately (but really, unfortunately) Jonah is always up by 7 & Nate & the boys got ready & headed out. I decided to take Iz to breakfast. Just she & I. We went to a local pancake place which has an awesome breakfast.

She & I sat on the same side of the booth & both got pancakes. She scooped up the mounds of butter & ate them with her hands. I mean, I'm a big gal, but scooping up mounds of butter with my hands & eating it actually kind of grossed me out. But, she loved it, so who was I to stop it :)

Then there was this man that she wouldn't stop staring at. Its super blurry because I had my camera phone & had to zoom in on him. She said, "Look at him! Look at him! He's got a mustache." I said, "Yes, he does." She said, "You smell his mustache (while she was sniffing)?" I said, "No." Then she would just giggle while she watched him eat. And then she would mock him. I think she was pretty fond of him but at one point I had to tell her to stop staring.

We then went to the church because the band & choir had practice at 9 am. If I haven't mentioned it, Nate is playing the guitar in the church band & I am....ummm, singing in the choir. I'm still not convinced I can sing.
Anyway, I got in the church & Nate was already upstairs practicing. The boys were downstairs & I told them to come up with me. I would let them play in the church by themselves (its relatively small) but with Jonah's opening & closing doors fetish, I just know that one would get loose & be on the run in no time. Jasper didn't want to go up. He threw a fit...screamed, cried, tried to run off, etc. There were still some men lingering, so I had to compose myself. I freaked for a minute but then regained composure.
We went upstairs & I told them to sit on the seats. I went up to sing & Jasper was crying. I pulled him up there & held him while I sang. He didn't want that. He wanted the mic. Then Isabel wanted up there. They fought, cried, whined & I snatched them all up & came home. I had to bite my tongue because the words that wanted to come out were probably not the most appropriate for the Lord's house.
I think we all need to go back to bed for 20 hours.

Ice Cream That Isn't Messy

Thanks daddy! The kids each told Nate what kind of ice cream they wanted. Iz wanted pink, Jas wanted blue & Jonah wanted Chocolate (we all know that Jonah wouldn't eat chocolate ice cream :)

Abi Morgan

My sister in law's daughter (my niece), Abi, passed away on Wednesday. She was a fighter, but her heart complications took over. I'm so glad & blessed to have been able to meet Miss Abi. I'm sure you've seen the pictures on my blog. If not, go down a few blog posts & check out what a cutie she was.

Today was the funeral. It was an all too familiar feeling & so devastating. Abi will be buried close to my Eli & Liv...just a few plots down. She will definitely be getting visits from her "Favorite" Aunt Shannon. I know her parents, Matt & Rachel & her siblings; Ryan, Hannah, Kelli & Gage will forever love & remember Abi & her short time on this earth. Hold your babies tight tonight & remember that our time on earth is short.

Easter 2010

Easter was a fun, warm & exhausting day. We got up & went to church & headed up to my in-laws afterwards. The 2 hour drive was okay. I figured the kids may nap, but they didn't. I managed to squeeze in a twenty minute one. I would have liked a 2 hour one, but 3 three year olds just don't let that happen. The excitement of seeing grandma & grandpa was killing them.

Once we got to my in-laws, we had to get pictures with the cousins

Rachel & Matt ~ I believe if you look at last years blog, I called Matt her "man friend". They are no longer just friends. Now they are just an old married couple.
