Today would have been Elijah & Olivia's 5th Birthday. I've said it many times on here that they are thought about every day & missed every day. They would have been the best big brother & sister ever. Mama & Daddy love you very much!
Tonight, Nate introduced the kids to Star Wars. Nate is a big fan of Star Wars. However, not big enough to dress in costume & go to Star Wars events (thank God...not that there is anything wrong with that). He has several Star Wars items that he usually gets as gifts & tonight, the kids found a Darth Vader helmet. And so it begins. He brought out one of the movies & I said, "I don't think they are old enough for Star Wars." He said, "I was one when I first saw it!" Yea, at one year old, you don't remember things. At three & a half, you'll probably have nightmares the rest of your life. We'll see how tonight goes.
Jasper enjoying the helmet. I just heard him ask Nate if he could sleep with it.
The Colts lost, but we still had a good time at mamaw & papaw's party. All the kids looked great & had a good time. I ate way too much. Jonah played with the fan for hours. Jasper was the life of the party, showing off his "Beach Party" moves & Izzy loved hanging out with the older girls.
I tried to get one of the kids to pose with me...but as you can see, I'm alone

I think I did pretty darn good on painting their faces
The Colts went to the Super Bowl on 2/5/07 & they are there again today. Here is a picture from three years ago before the big party at mamaw & papaw's...
And here is today. I made them lay in the same positions. Check out how bad my carpet looks today from 3 years ago. I'm hoping part of that is the lighting. Or, the fact there are a million stains now...yikes stripes!
Jonah has never been an easy one to give medicine to. I remember when he was a baby, we would shoot the medicine into his mouth & blow in his face to try & get him to take a breath & suck in the medicine. I think we've tried everything with him. He's finishing up an antibiotic for an ear infection & I've had a pretty easy time getting him to take this gritty medicine. I bring him in the kitchen, put him on the counter top & let him play with the microwave. He just opens wide & lets me shoot the meds in his mouth.Maybe I should have him sit there & try to feed him vegetables. Hmmm...
Since our Colts are going to the Super Bowl, the kids were supposed to wear something colts today. Jasper came home with a horseshoe painted on his face. He loved it! Papaw is making us blue & white tye dyed shirts for the super bowl party of Sunday.
I think the last batch of snow/ice just melted, so its only fitting that we get the next run in. Stores are packed & people are panicked...a storm, a storm! Is it me, or does it feel like winter has lasted for over a year? I will say, the snow is very beautiful when it is coming down & it is fresh. I've heard we are supposed to get anywhere from 6-10". It didn't start until late morning, so luckily the kids got to go to school! It was a close call. Thanks Mother Nature for waiting until they got home. My poor kiddos have to have cabin fever more than I do. Oh, and Nate's band is playing tonight...an hour away. I have a feeling they will get over there & no one will show up.
I'm a 35 year old stay at home mama to three beautiful kids. They are triplets! They are my life. I also am a mama to twin angels, Olivia & Elijah, who passed away on February 13, 2005.
