Well, folks...it's been a hell of a week here at the Wright household. Last Wednesday night, Jonah got sick. He puked all night. And when I say all night, I'm dead serious. I slept with him in the living room. About every 30 minutes, he would wake up & puke. I just kept putting him in t-shirts of mine. We had towels sprawled out everywhere. He started feeling better Thursday evening.
Thursday evening, I went with my sister, mom & Aunt to have dinner for my aunts birthday. Before I left, Isabel puked on Nate. Then later, Jasper puked. Needless to say, the kids didn't go to school on Thursday & Friday. Come Friday night, Nate started throwing up. Nate gags...a lot. But, I've never seen him throw up this much. And we've been married for 11 years. I probably did 20 loads of laundry of just puked on clothes, towels, blankets, sheets, mattress pads, etc.
I think they finally all started feeling better. Then it was my turn. I really thought I was going to dodge it. Nah. I got it on Monday. My stomach was killing me & I ended up tossing my cookies for a good while. But nothing prepared us (primarily, Nate) for what was about to come.
Jonah started coughing. He stood up, puked & walked about 4 steps & then repeated that process 3 more times. In the meantime, Isabel started gagging from watching Jonah. Guess what happened? Yep...she threw up. I jumped off the couch & ran to the bathroom & let it go. I've never seen Nate so on his game. He didn't gag. He just yelled, "What is going on!?" And Jasper just stood there. It was like the movie, "Stand By Me."
I'm happy to report that we are hopefully at the tail end of this satanic virus. I've taken both Jasper & Isabel to the doctor this week. Iz was running a temp of 103. They tested her for strep & it was negative. So, we are just letting this thing run its course.
