On the 5th, we went over to Nate's cousins house. They have an in ground pool & a big ol' yard. It was a great time. We had good food & fun. Jasper loved the water the most. Isabel liked it & Jonah liked staying in the baby pool.

My sweet Jonah does smile. But in almost every picture, he has his mouth open like, "huh?" I thought this was an awesome picture of him.

Happy 4th!

We celebrated the Fourth Of July at my aunt Linda's house. There were sooooo many kids. It was crazy! My grandma has 14 great grand sons & 3 great grand daughters. We need some more girls! My fingers are crossed for Amber & Lee. Give us one girl, guys! :)

We watched a few fireworks. The kids liked them. I expected them to be scared. This was the first time they have seen fireworks. But, it was a good experience. Here are some pics before we left.

On the trio's actual birthday, they received balloons from my dad's fiance, Pam. They LOVED those balloons. And I loved them. They were actually tied to little stuffed animals (so cute), so it weighed the balloons down and they didn't get away for me to have to go & catch.

Birthday Party

We had the trips 2nd birthday party on Sunday at our house. Last year I was exhausted & said I wouldn't do another big party. I lied. It's so fun but it's so much preparation & then exhaustion afterwards. I said I wouldn't do another one next year, but I'm sure I'm lying! Here are some pics. Of course, Nate & I didn't take any. It's not like we are their parents or anything. Geez! What is wrong with us. Thank God for Grandma's!

Another JB funny...

Around 11:15 am on most days, I put the kids in the family room to watch a 1/2 hour DVD. I strap them into their little seats. During this time, I pick up the toy room & sweep it & make their lunch. They take their nap after that. So, I'm the kitchen making grilled cheese & I hear JB whining. The family room is right off the kitchen. After a minute, he stops. I thought..."oh, he's fine." Next thing I hear is a little bit of panting & I go to look.

He was at the entrance to the kitchen with his chair on his back. So, while strapped in, he flipped out of his chair to where it was on his back & he crawled about 10 feet with that thing on top of him. It was hilarious!! As I'm standing there making the grilled cheese, I spot him in the kitchen. When I knew he was okay, I busted out laughing & then he started laughing. Of course I went & grabbed the camera! Nate said, "you went & got the camera?" I said, "I laughed & he laughed, so I knew he was alright."

Well, it happened again...we caught it before poop though

Okay, I'm beginning to think this is a new deal around our house...NAKEDNESS! You saw the post where Iz removed her diaper & dumped out the poop during naptime. Well, last night they were up forever. JB was singing & happy screaming. Finally a little after 9 pm, Nate went in to check on them. They had already been in bed for over an hour. He says, "Shan, come in here & turn on the light." I did. There sat Iz with no PJ bottoms & no diaper. Luckily she hadn't pooped, but she did have a huge pee spot. JB also had his bottoms off but luckily left the diaper on. So we changed her sheets & put her in a onesie type thing.

I asked Nate where the duct tape was. He looked at me like I was crazy. But seriously, on the triplet forum I frequent, they swear by duct tape. If I'm out tonight, I'm picking up a roll.
